Biking

We have bicycles available and free to use. If you're a serious mountain biker you'll want to bring your own.

The world famous Glentress is not far away, and will provide a great day out for mountain bikers.

Horse Riding

Bring your own (we can offer stables and grazing)  or get lessons / pony trekking from Karecole our neighbours.  Peebles Hydro Stables also offer trekking.

Fishing

There are Local fisheries at Thriepmuir reservoir, Balerno, Gladhouse and Glencorse at Penicuik.

Loch fishing at St.Marys Loch, Selkirk and Talla reservoir Tweedsmuir, Biggar.

River fishing on the Tweed.

Golf - play locally at West Linton a championship course or Rutherford Castle.

Or take a short drive to Biggar, Peebles, Cardrona, Carnwath and Lothianburn

There is also a driving range at Kingsacre.

Extreme Sports

Skiing - Midlothian snowsports centre at Hillend offers instruction on dry slope.

Moto cross track at Eddleston.
